Janette Withey - Managing Director
Janette Withey has over 30 years experience in the recruitment industry and an innate understanding of Canary Wharf and the London Docklands, having worked in the area for over fifteen years. Janette previously worked as a senior manager for a national recruitment consultancy before deciding to go it alone with a more tailored service for clients and candidates. As a contributor to the area's growth, Janette is now Chairman of the London Docklands Business Club, part of the London Chamber of Commerce. She is known for her boundless energy and larger than life personality and has a close relationship with the business community, a good awareness of business trends in the area, and is often the first point of contact for new arrivals.
Deborah Downing
Deborah Downing has over 10 years’ recruitment experience working on both the client and candidate side of the field. Prior to establishing herself as a recruitment consultant in London Docklands with Quay People, Deborah worked in HR for a large corporate organisation, and in Executive Search and Selection for a small global player. This means she can anticipate many of the demands from her clients and ensure that candidates are well briefed and supported throughout the recruitment process.
Sarah Archer
With a background in office management, training and recruitment, Sarah Archer networked her way to an interview with Quay People several years ago. Her skills and obvious ability to add value ensured that she was quickly transferred from Quay People's register of temporaries to permanent Quay People consultant. Having moved from a search and selection business in the West End, Sarah is still impressed by the Quay People approach - as she says, this team genuinely care about their candidates and manage to be both relaxed and wholly professional.
Hafiza Begum
Hafiza joined Quay People in 2007 on a work experience programme; on completing her placement she accepted a permanent role with ongoing training, both on-the-job and through formal release programmes, achieving NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration. Hafiza started as an account handler of a large public sector contract and has now been promoted to manager through her ability to source the right people.
Kumudu Dharmasena
Kumudu is Quay People’s financial controller, recruited to lead the company’s franchise support services such as payroll and research. Kumudu brings a wealth of business administration skills to the role, necessary for the development of Quay People’s Services, although she too is taking advantage of the company’s positive support for training and development to complete her ACCA qualification. Kumudu is known for her attention to detail; we think she’s an invaluable asset and regularly hear from our candidates and clients that they think so too!
Jacqui Fairey
With over 20 years experience in recruitment, Jacqui managed a leading City recruitment company specialising in finance & facilities before joining Quay People as a satellite consultant, trading as J Consulting. Jacqui now offers her specialist expertise to both established and new clients, predominantly in the facilities and security industries. Jacqui is energetic, experienced and hugely knowledgeable about the recruitment challenges facing clients in the security and facilities sector, and relishes every opportunity to bring her expertise and experience to the challenges facing this diverse marketplace.
Rachel Gordon
Rachel moved into recruitment in 2003 following a variety of roles within the financial services sector. Having been exposed to the full spectrum of client requirements and candidate nuances in banking recruitment, working across the sector in Docklands, City and the West End, Rachel is a satellite consultant working through J Consulting. Rachel is extrovert, organised and professional with the proven ability to build strong relationships with candidates and clients alike.
