At Quay People we recognise that our success depends on people and as
such we have strong relationships within the Docklands area and are conscious
of our responsibility to the local community.
Our charity of choice is our local children's hospice, Richard House, which officially opened in 2003 on the edge of London Docklands. London's first children's hospice, Richard House was built to care for children and young people with life limiting or life threatening conditions.
Elsewhere, Quay People works to fill the skills gaps within the region, including for example arranging IT training for candidates from the area, both young and old, and working with local educational institutions like Tower Hamlets College to help young people with their work skills, including interview skills and how to write their CVs.
Within the local business community Quay People is an active member of the Docklands Business Club / London Chamber of Commerce, supporting many London Docklands activities and events designed to encourage local business development. Janette Withey, our Managing Director, has been Deputy Chairman for a number of years and in 2010 was elected to the Chair.
