Since our inception in March 1993 as part of a recruitment franchise, Quay People has evolved into a highly successful, independent London Docklands recruitment agency that was bought out in September 2001. Owned and managed by Janette Withey, we see ourselves as a human business whose results are dependent on the success of our candidates and the satisfaction of our clients.
With over 13 years' experience in London Docklands and surrounding areas, Quay People has a good understanding of the needs of the local business community. Our candidates include a mix of East London locals and newcomers looking to move into the area from across Europe and elsewhere.
Quay People offers an independent, personalised alternative to the traditional recruitment agency. We specialise in the provision of skilled administrative and specialist language support for temporary, contract and permanent jobs, serving:
We have extensive experience working with the public sector and have brought our internal systems and procedures in line with its requirements. Examples include our Diversity, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, which are essential to our business efficiency. We were pleased to achieve our first Green Mark Award in 2005 and are currently working towards a second. We have also taken on Investors in People, and continue to search for ways to enhance all aspects of our business.
Our knowledge and understanding of the public sector and our experience in online procurement now enable us to offer a service that is based on, and continually evolving in line with, our clients' needs.
Quay People has supplied skilled linguists and language specialists to companies in the London Docklands area since the recruitment agency's inception. The London Docklands business community uses over 80 languages and we have successfully supplied appropriately qualified linguists to undertake a variety of roles including secretarial, administrative, reception, accounts, conference, facilities, telecommunications, reprographics, mailroom and security staff.
With an excellent reputation for supplying linguistic staff, we have recently established a specialist language division to support the increasing demand for such skills.
We believe that the quality of our service to clients and candidates is paramount, which means we must be realistic about the business we accept. In terms of the private sector, our offer is best suited to organisations that require strong general administrative skills rather than those that seek candidates with specialist sector knowledge.
