How we work

At Quay People, we provide staff selection and recruitment for businesses and employers in the London Docklands area. Understanding our clients' needs is essential to our operation and we provide tangible proof of our services in simple and clear documentation. We undergo a careful staff selection process and all of our temporary candidates are referenced before taking up assignments. All interviews are carried out face-to-face, tests are given to all candidates and the recruitment process is always comprehensively documented.

Our own internal staff are trained to understand our clients' specific needs and any jobs have an expressed agreement before being advertised. Our consultants keep abreast of all relevant legislation and are sent on workshops or training courses to ensure compliance. Our consultants deal with clients and candidates fairly, openly, honestly and courteously. Regular appraisals and on-site training is part of our work ethic and we welcome change and innovation to improve our quality standards.

Understanding your requirements

Finding someone with the right skills to suit our clients' requirements is simply the beginning. We believe that true success lies in finding a good personal fit between people, and as such place our emphasis on understanding your organisation, needs, people and way of working.
We will work with you to develop a detailed profile of the role, including the teams and individuals with whom the successful candidate will be working. We prefer to visit your office as part of this process, which ensures we are familiar with your company culture and work environment, and have a thorough understanding of the personality and skills you require.
This means that we can then ensure that the candidates you meet have the technical skills and experience to perform the role, and the personal style and approach to succeed within your organisation.

Our candidates

Our recruitment and selection programmes are adapted to the requirements of each client, We adapt our recruitment and selection programmes to the precise objectives of each client, sourcing up-to-date CVs for your consideration through our register, recommendations, on line advertising and referrals, as appropriate.

All of our candidates are thoroughly screened, interviewed and where appropriate assessed, to ensure we fully understand not just their experience, skills and expectations, but their personality and approach too.

We also ensure that all candidates are evaluated in line with job requirements. We have the latest software, which enables us to test and train within the branch; tests are printed out and kept within the candidate’s application. The list is extensive and is tailored to the specific needs of the job.

In recent years we have developed an expertise in sourcing candidates with linguistic skills and the cultural awareness and understanding appropriate to each role. To ensure the continued growth of this specialism, we have recently established a new division to focus on this area and ensure both clients and candidates continue to receive the level of service each has come to expect from Quay People.
